Tightly wound Pinot with medium ripe tannins and persistent finish. Deep and ethereal, it is a structured vivacious nectar showing some forest floor, sweet spice and smoke with high acidity. — 9 years ago
The fruit left its place to a more vanillin textural, 'keroseney' palate. Notes of honey with soft corners, a little botrytis. Not majorly exciting. Drink now though. — 9 years ago
This classic burgundy needs to be drunk now. Don't wait longer. Ripe tannins and still with some red fruit profile but perhaps not enough for Grand Cru material. — 9 years ago
There are distant floral tones with notes of cedar, graphite, menthol and some undergrowth. A bit musky. Tannins mellowed out completely making this wine taste very delicate, almost fragile. It did not evolve much in the glass and was looking pretty tired by the end. — 9 years ago
10 years on lees. Rich and creamy style of champagne with stewed nectarine and lemon curd. Super fine bubbles, a very intense pleasure to drink, the kind you never want to end. 2001 vintage is a 70% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay. Vallee de la Marne. Exquisite. — 9 years ago
Liinaa Berry
This electric Meursault has a salivating lashing acidity. Not for everyone. This style is lean, restrained and the palate shows more minerality than fruit. 2008 shows more fruit than 2007 though. The freshness and persistence is stunning. Needs food. — 9 years ago
