Good stuff well made... But not for everyone. Keep expectations in check... It carries intense petroleum minerality and drinks like bend of cal chard and Alsace Riesling. Weirdly interesting. — 9 years ago
My favorite of their lineup and the most expensive... But worth it. All of their love went into this earthy black fruit blend. Worth the money if you can find it.... The wine, not the money. — 9 years ago
Hey. Wait a second... literally. Before you judge. Right off the cork this beauty is so wound up you'll think she's a real dog. A wet dog actually, who just rolled in manure and Italian nettles. Now, leave her to breathe just enough time to season and roast some pork. When you're done you'll find your girl has opened herself up to you. Barbera with a deep voluptuous Italian body, ripe dark skinned fruits and sublimely bitter. Gorgeous. And someone you can grow old with too. She'll age well for the next 10+ years if you treat her nice. — 8 years ago

I didn't drink this but it is my birth year. Bet it was shite! — 9 years ago
Whoa. It's 90+ degrees here in Ca. And I wish I were drinking a frosty bottle of this tropical and delightfully floral aromatic bottle from the premiere winemaking family on Crete. (Now I'm in trouble) — 9 years ago
If you wait... with proper storage this will drink well long enough for you to recall fondly burgundy before global warming withered her vines. Great depth for this vineyard ...toasted baguette laced with baking spice. — 8 years ago
Out of the bottle into the glass. A suspiciously translucent and raisiny brown. This wine suffers from progeria... not a bad thing if your a 2011 Barolo sitting open on my counter but extremely unfortunate if your lying around in some cellar doing nothing. The clock is ticking on this one. A quick swirl and a whiff meh... Smells like Nebbiolo. Cheap Nebbiolo. First taste mere seconds in the glass.... Flat and watery... Watery, the key sign of an oxygen starved bottle... Some wines need to breathe... Some don't. This one does. Just a little... A baby's breath... Well actually, I dipped an aero latte in it and gave it a whirl until it developed a rich creamy head and Wow! This little wrinkly, raisinated tot matured into Barolo! With roses and tar and terra cotta earthiness and a palate to match. What a surprise! — 9 years ago
This is the best red in their line up... And the cheapest. ;) Great with lamb and family and friends. — 9 years ago

Stop. The game is over. I’m talking about the turkey debate. What pairs well with the Thanksgiving bird? Glinavos has helped me to solve the conundrum and it resides in an obscure bottle of “semi-sparkling” orange wine from a rugged mountainous region in Greece... Paliokerisio! The perfect color for a fall table. A Tiny little bubble. Very distinctive nose of pumpkin spice... yes, nutmeg- cinnamon and allspice. Enough acid to combat the gravy and ever so slightly sweet. Absolutely f*ing perfect with everything on the Thanksgiving table. Close the book. Now... go out and try to find this wine! NYC can ask my pal Thanasis at “The Greek” in TriBeCa. In NorCal, you can ask me at Evvia and Kokkari. Turkey? Done. Next up? I solve the artichoke dilemma. Happy Thanksgiving! Cheers! — 7 years ago
