Floral nose. But you can smell the acidity, is that a thing? Honey and grapefruit. A bit of fruit rot? Crisp, sharp finish. — 6 years ago
I might just get what people mean by acidic Chardonnay. This is scary good for me. It is crisp and tart but somehow creamy? A sour lemon curd with underripe pear. Creamy malo with a drying mouthfeel that’s addicting. — 6 years ago
Straw-colored. Green apple, tropical fruit on the nose. Pleasant acidity balanced by a hint of sweetness, like an underripe pineapple in a honey-lime syrup. — 6 years ago
Bright red fruit, hint of spice on the nose. Stewed cranberry. Cranberry continues on the palate with mild tannins and pleasant acidity. Short finish. Easy drinking. Great house wine candidate at $10. — 6 years ago
Dark fruit, cocoa, mild acid and soft tannins. Astor said easy drinking and versatile. Haven’t had merlot in years. — 6 years ago
Gamay virgin. But love a good cocktailing wine. I like that it’s not too serious. Drying enough to be interesting. Dark soil, rhododendron, dark cherry. — 6 years ago
Frankenberry on the nose. Toasted cereal and bursting with tropical fruit. Subltle oak balanced with a pleasing acidity. Strawberries... probably why Frankenberry. Lingering finish. Superb. — 6 years ago
Nutty aroma and a pleasant funk (distant cow, as I’m wont to say). Lemony crisp yet full on the tongue with a echoing finish like an aged sherry. Toasted almond. Sean approved. — 6 years ago
Recommended pairing with tomato sauce from Astor. Lacrima means ‘tear’ in Italian, for both the shape of the grape and its tendency to bleed-out near harvest (thin-skinned). The promise of abundant rose petal aroma drew me in. Not getting rose exactly but certainly floral. Like if Bath and Bodyworks made a Valentine’s day body spray, but not as bad as that sounds. Dry and pleasantly teasing on the palate. — 6 years ago

Mineral driven burgundy with a sweet creamy midpalette and a long green apple finish. Lemonade. — 6 years ago
