Vibrant golden colour with a firm nutty bouquet that has a hint of honey. Slightly creamy texture and quite long finish. Slightly honeyed Citrus flavours with clear oak. Quite a robust wine that should be eaten with food - roast / grilled chicken should pair well. — 8 years ago

Drinking this 2013 in 2017. Quite a transparent and vibrant red colour with an oaky-blackcurrant bouquet. Fruit forward flavour though somewhat sour cherry; give it another 2 years. — 8 years ago

Bought at cellar door and drinking this 2011 in 2017. Vibrant straw colour with pleasant bouquet of lemon with a twist of honey. A cleansing mouthfeel and precise but not over-powering lemon taste with a medium length finish. Classy not showy, it is an enjoyable wine. — 8 years ago

Possibly my first taste of a true top end champagne. It was nice - very quaffable, brioche and not the acidity you typically get with a "normal" champagne, so a few glasses slip down. But it certainly wasn't a "wow" wine. Perhaps I am coming to it a little late (drinking in 2017) but it tasted as if it was still full of life. — 8 years ago

Antonin rodet 2011 chateau de mercey, mercurey. Bought at cellar door in 2016 and drunk in 2017. Worth noting it is one of the most accommodating cellar doors in burgundy. For one of the entry level wines this is very good value. Buttery colour and some fried butter on the bouquet. Unsurprisingly a lightly buttery taste but with good lemony acidity which makes it refreshing and can cut through oily fish with a nice mouthfeel. For an every day drinking wine this comes highly recommended — 8 years ago

Drank this in 2017 and it was beautiful - lovely fragrant nose, good fruit and silky tannins - looking at the other comments, this has clearly improved with age. A very pleasant surprise — 8 years ago

Drinking this 2014 in 2017, right at the start of its recommended 3-5 years of ageing. Vibrant light cherry colour with a bouquet that combines raspberries with a hint of undergrowth. Silky mouthfeel with a taste that echoes the nose, with a line of well balanced acidity. — 8 years ago
