A wine from a professor of mine from MSU. Not what I was expecting but in a good way. Spicy Syrah. Lots of pepper on the nose and palate. Fruit is jammy and muted. Not like the fruit bombs out there. Good product. Good showing of Michigan bold reds. — 8 years ago

Fruit forward. Fresh blueberry and cassis. Smooth low tannins. Mild spice. A little too fruity for me but nice wine. — 7 years ago
Wish I held on to it a little longer. Spicy jalapeño jam and sweet vanilla on the nose. Jammy black fruits. Slatey and black currant finish. Tannins and acid are mellowing. Bold flavor. 83% cab sauv 17% petit Verdot. 92% William hill 8% monte Rosso vineyards. — 8 years ago

Sharp acidic. Good flavor — 8 years ago
Raspberry. Watermelon. Acidity is lower than I would like. Could also be due to the creamy chowder I'm eating. Aromatics are floral and light. Medium body. — 8 years ago
Nice pretty red. Ripe cherry and anisetta on the nose. Rounded smoke in the back. Buttered toast. Medium plus acid. Medium tannin. Slatey background. — 9 years ago

Light floral and petrol on the front nose. Opens to beautiful peach and apricot. Nice lemon candy acidity on the front followed by juicy Meyer lemon on the palate. Beautiful wine from my friend Jim Lester. — 6 years ago
