Needs some time to air out. A little too much alcohol on the nose at first. Given some time, it comes around nicely. A burst of bright red fruits rounds out with a touch of spice and a hint of vanilla. Citrus and orange peel on the back end. Powerful wine--would pair well with bold flavors. — 10 years ago

Tar and earth on the nose. Taste of cherries, raspberries, and almonds at first. Rounds out nicely with a great mouth feel and strong tannins. Perfect drinking by the fireside with visions of sugarplums dancing in my head. — 10 years ago

Great Cabernet. Perfectly earthy and well rounded. Good mouth feel and a bombastic finish. Notes of tar and smoke you'd expect from a Malbec. Transports me to Chilean mountain ranges. — 11 years ago

I now know what is meant when wine critics say "gym sock." This is some seriously funky wine. Earthy. The bleu cheese of wine. This might be perfect for some people, but just not my style at the moment. — 11 years ago
