Old world style with a muted initial taste and complexity and finesse that follows through. Moderate acid and tannins that blends together with the fruit in an elegant finish. Incredible wine. — 7 years ago
Solidly oaked with a lush and smooth mouth feel. Intense complexity without being subtle. The wine is brilliantly balanced and a perfect example of what a California pinot should be. — 7 years ago
Sawdust and old chalkboard on the nose. Light and subtle with the first taste then builds through the middle that is bold, but without the fresh fruit notes from new world wines. The finish has a distinct minerality that accents the age of the wine. — 7 years ago
Lush, perfectly ripened cherries on the nose. Starts with a smooth but rapid incline, which fuses with ripe red berries and powerful tannins, fading into an airy finish that lingers long after the first sip. Absolutely stunning. — 7 years ago
Dark overripe fruits with hints of molasses on the nose. Easy and smooth on the pallet but lacks the rolling punch through the middle that you get with truly great old world wines. For the price (about $15) it's a great find. Nice if slightly chilled. — 7 years ago
Mashed blackberries and raspberries on the nose with hints of sawdust. Subtle with the initial taste that ramps up in intensity with a distinctive transition into the finish that blends all the flavors into a beautifully mellow and soft mouth feel. Incredible wine. — 7 years ago
