Very buttery. Enjoyed with a charcuterie board in the park. Was recommended by an expert for that bUtTeRy taste — 5 years ago

Definitely not the worst $4 wine I’ve ever had. It’s a bit smoky for my taste - a bit too outdoorsy for a city gal like me. Probably won’t repurchase even though I thoroughly respect the lion — 7 years ago

Smells like raspberry scented nail polish remover. Tastes like raspberry scented nail polish remover.

**EDIT: after letting tannins breathe, there is a hint of sour cherries. It's actually very good**

It is only $5 so let it air out a bit before making up your mind. Tastes like my beloved Apothic Dark, but at a fraction of the cost. Trader Joe does everything right, especially this wine. Easy to accidentally drink the whole bottle, but I definitely wouldn’t know that. I’m getting hints of berry, chocolate, and a little bit of battery acid (like I said, it’s $5) — 6 years ago

Smells like a mini van that has seen better days carrying adolescent soccer teams and housing 3 day old McDonalds. Tastes a little better. Maybe Pinot noir is just not my style or maybe this is just bad Pinot noir? — 6 years ago

The acidity is a bit clingy - think “high school couple after 4 Smirnoff Ice” clingy. It sticks around. But, what can you expect from a $5 merlot? Would not recommend as a first bottle, not complaining as a 2nd or 3rd though. — 6 years ago

Tastes like making out with a cherry farmer in the back of a '69 Ford Mustang. Fruity, leathery, and an overall good time. Something you won't regret in the morning. — 8 years ago

jam melted down and blended with tree bark. Slightly spice-esque. Vanilla beans over a campfire. Goes great with leftover Christmas candy. — 8 years ago
