Sharp like a tailored suit and dancing in the line of minerality and bitterness this is a mama mia spicy italiano arancia bene! Certain to energize your night this would be perfect with sardines on toast — 7 years ago

This wine is what happens when a rebellious Gamay finally comes to its senses and grows up. Still has the fruit and funk of Gamay but has adopted some husky smoke and bite. A great drop for roasted seafood — 7 years ago

I was told that only young people like beaujolais as it is tasteless to those wit developed palates. Well bravo to me and my unrefined tastebuds because this delicious lolly-water is a show stopper. Soft leather like a luxury shoe lined with velvet, subtle pepper and fermented sour strap flavors. Massif! I has this with a multi-meat rabbit pie — 7 years ago

‘Ice Vine from Spain’ is enough to get anyone excited, this tastes like its from the depths of Narnia. Would go well with salted caramel deserts. Tastes like Alien. Incredible — 7 years ago

The feisty and slightly ignored adopted step sibling of the classic blanc de blanc champagne. I have a lot of heart for this guy, working twice as hard to get the deserved attention. Sparkly, concentrated brioche flavours, fantastic with challenging food — 7 years ago

Now this ladies and gentleman, is a truly average wine. There’s nothing wrong with it, but I imagine if AI developed a Bordeaux this is what would come out. Weak, standard flavour, short in the mouth and subdued profiles of Szechuan pepper and earl grey tea. Research suggests it needs ‘time’ which is exactly what I say when leaving a casual relationship as mundane as this tastes. — 7 years ago

Recently I’ve gone off Barolo and Nebbiolo, they’ve felt a bit old and dusty, not agreeable. Like the cranky old uncle who has given up on life. But this guy has character and an element of youth. Like an old Italian man who wears pastel suits and cycles to work everyday. Light yet grippy this worked great with marinated lamb and whole artichoke. — 7 years ago

The best wine I’ve tasted this year, maybe ever. Pure velvet luxury, a loyal pinot, the spirit of a young pedigree racehorse ready to go on to legendary status in 3 years time this is a mind blowingly beautiful wine — 7 years ago

What a delightfully unpretentious ‘Vin de France’ (that French for Vine of France by the way). This is the kind of wine that can be citrusy without being astringent, soft yet lively. Would be perfect with cold mussels, a picnic blanket and corridors of comte — 7 years ago
