Truly: fresh as a daisy w/ all the typical pelaverga notes intact plus another layer of crushed leaf and tobacco. If you're drinking gamay, poulsard, and trousseau and you don't treat Castello di Verduno Pelaverga w/ similar reverence, you're cheating yourself. BevMo Burgundy. Lots of gloss and sheen, but also some funk and verve. Ripe fruit on the nose, +tannin, and just teetering on the line of vegetal. More fun than it ought to be for young Burgundy, and better than it ought to be at $29.99. Would cop again. — 9 years ago
