This 2012 Pesenti Zin was so absolutely fantastic, we had a second bottle. Huge, velvet mouth feel with tons of fruit, cocoa, tobacco and quite well balanced acidity. A quintessential example of Zinfandel, and another winner from Turley, who do it so well! — 10 years ago

A true Orin Swift representative... Darkly seductive, tooth and glass staining in its massiveness. Unlike other fruit bombs out there, this one actually tries to bring some tannin to the forefront, giving it a bit of intrigue and structure, especially on the finish. Loads of tart dark fruits, balanced well by toasty vanilla and oak. She's a sexy lady... And deserving of a second date! — 10 years ago

God I love a good ripasso. Not more than Amarone, but they're usually half the price! This one is gorgeous, lots of very ripe cherry and plum on the nose and palate. The finish is warm and round, with just enough oak from those 12 months in Slovenian botti. — 10 years ago
