Great wine, but I love my Priorats. Needs some decanting to open up. Notes of dark berry, licorice, spice and earth. I'd hit it again. Well worth a second date. — 10 years ago
Not as high in alcohol as some Riojas, but this feisty little Rioja packs a powerful punch in terms of flavor profile. Wonderful bouquet that comes out singing to the nose with aromas of dried flowers, cherry, woods, spice, herbs and light oak. Almost Bordeaux like in appearance and on the nose, but with a more full bodied palate characteristic of Riojas. Excellent harmony overall. A very seductive wine that was an absolute pleasure to drink. — 10 years ago
Big wine that does not disappoint. Rich, dark cherry color. Notes of fruit once it opens up a bit. Nice acidity mid palate with a slight spicy finish. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys the big Spanish reds! — 10 years ago
This is a superb quality Priorat for the $20 range. A very well balanced, medium to full bodied wine. Nice balance of minerality that I love with the Priorats and hints of raisin, and jammy blackberry. Absolutely delicious and reminds me why I love my Spanish reds. Cheers! — 9 years ago
Exceptional wine at a very reasonable price given the quality. Definitely one of my go to wines. A Grenache based wine with an aroma of berry preserves, pepper and garrigue. Medium body, but full in flavor. Tasting notes of lush cherry, plum and herbs. Medium tannins with a great overall balance. Cheers! — 10 years ago
This wine speaks to my inner hedonist. One sip and my taste buds were transported on a magical journey. Very succulent with just the right amount of acidity and soft tannins. Wonderful balance of dark fruits, spices and earthy minerality characteristic of priorats. Impressive depth and intensity. Just an overall wonderful priorat with a nice balance of flavors. Enjoy now for a special occasion or any occasion! No regrets with this one. — 10 years ago
2012 vintage. Spice, berry, and mineral driven flavors come together to create a juicy, full bodied wine with well integrated notes of oak. Bright nose with perfumed aromas of blackberry and cherry. Great balance of fruit, oak and tannins. I'll be adding this wine to my rotation. This wine is a real gem for the price and is comparable to pricier Spanish wines in my opinion. Cheers! — 10 years ago
A very pleasing wine, not to be overshadowed by its sibling wine Pesquera. Aroma of blackberry, dark cherry, tobacco, anise, with a subtle hint of floral notes. Tastes of savory dark fruits that grip the palate. Well balanced oaky tannins with a kick of peppery spices. Finishes quite nicely. Cheers! — 10 years ago
This is a youthful wine that needs some decanting. After the first pour, it was a little thin, dark and smoky up front, and heavy on the oak tannins. The wine went through a magical transformation once it had time to open up into the wine it deserves to be. This allowed the fruits to shine more, as they came out of their hiding place behind the oaky tannins. Notes of spices, vanilla and chocolate were also revealed. Great wine, but give this baby time to breathe. Patience my friends. Excellent with the Lamb Sausage and Gruyere Potato Gratin that it was paired with. — 10 years ago

Very intense, full bodied, decadent wine. Needs time to breathe, so just pour yourself an aperitif while you wait. This wine will take you to a happy place - intense, ripe, luscious and bright. Love this one so much I'm keeping a few in stock. Cheers! — 9 years ago
