An elegant wine reminding us the with a pronounced old world funk on the nose that this is indeed a Bordeaux. Had a 2010 in Jan 2020 and decanted it for two hours. It still feels like a youth who believes they have reached maturity and are rating too go...but just needs a tiny bit more time. Nevertheless 2hours decanting did work wonders. Beautiful color with hints of mushrooms and forest floor and maybe cloves or nutmeg. Mellowed tannins on the backend with medium to low acidity. — 5 years ago

Beautiful burgundy had it with shepherds pie!!! The minced lamb in the pie really brought out the earthy notes of an old world. On the nose I got the earthy notes followed by fruit. Subtle colored, not heavy and almost gets a sense of “sparkling” on the tongue at first taste.
