A baby, but he's a big boy at that. Robust and thick. Excellent length and depth. Bottle AB110 — 8 years ago
After a run of Aussie Shiraz from Northern VIC, specifically Beechworth I wasn't expecting such fruit. Very dark fruits on the nose and on the palate maybe too fruit forward. Nice wine, but definitely a surprise with its new world appearance. Let's see how things are in night 2. — 8 years ago
Great wine and still so young. Amazing silkiness and fruit weight. Russell you shouldn't have stopped. — 8 years ago
Nutty - fruit sourced from Tolpuddle still. Lovely new style of older school Aussie chard. — 8 years ago
Love the cool climate aspect of this wine. While it sits atop a hill and gets its fair share of sun it still shows notes of olive, smoked meatiness, violets other spices. The dark fruit side of the wine is woven in and isn't at all jammy - black cherry, mulberry and dark plum. Nice work Kep! @savaterre — 8 years ago
Rich and lovely. Pan scratching is an interesting find but sits well in the description list. Blue fruits gives it lovely vibrancy too. — 8 years ago

Colgin Tasting - 2006. While it's a Parker 100 wine it wasn't the pick on the day. Still lovely with a velvety well integrated tannin blanket giving the dark fruit a superb base to bind itself to. Excellent length. Now, I've heard people bang on about this wine - 2012, but I know there are mixed reviews. While the diehard Napa peeps have no issue paying big money for this, I wonder if they are buying into the label more than the wine. It's said to be a superb vintage over all. In the glass it was your typical sweeter Bordeaux-esque wine. I'd suggest a little too warm. 2013 (66% Cab, 25% Merlot, and the rest of its friends). Great wine. Time will tell if the discussion of 2013 being better than 2012 will be true in general. But I did enjoyed this a little more than '12. Great length and the same great tannin matrix. Young and chewy, but you know where it's going. She's a keeper. — 8 years ago
