The extra dry version of Freixenet Cordon Negro Cava. Surprisingly crisp, fruit like in flavor with out sweetness, a very clean taste, with a citrus finish.
Loved it with cheese, red pepper hummus and toasted wheat crackers. I will definitely buy this again.

On the Lee's for 12 months just a few months short of Reserva status this cava not a blend but of only Garnacha grapes, very dry and lively with lines of fine bubbles. Segura Viudas Brut Cava, a great find! Tried a bottle on a recommendation, went back an bought four. Light golden in color, the feeling on the palete is expansive, with plenty of effervescence opening tastes of apple and lime and finishing clean. A steal at $8.99 a bottle at Trader Joe's. I believe Cava's are the best kept secret of the sparkling wine world, hopefully Cava wine will stay under the radar so that one can continue to enjoy them at a reasonable price. — 7 years ago
