Tertiary aromas of new leather, tobacco leaf, an almost Rosemary flavored lamb aspect - hint of animal - but also damson and red cherry. This is a wine that has entered its drinking window and that I purchased with glee a few years ago after tasting blind in a vertical at the chateau. Medium plus body, subtle flavor intensity, smooth texture, medium tannin, medium acidity and long subtle finish. Delicious! — 10 years ago

Looking back to 2014 wine trips this wine takes me to Tokaj where I first tried it. Splendid with pan seared breaded veal and mushrooms. The aromas include a hint of honeysuckle acacia and stone fruit of moderate intensity. The palate is broad, with a slightly thick texture but happily balanced by medium plus acidity. Smooth and even creamy. Medium plus slightly plush :-) finish. Bravo to the Furmint grape: it can be lovely dry. And inexpensive. #Hungary #winelover #Disznoko — 10 years ago

Dark cherry and cassis, creosote, subtle flavors and aromatics - curiously mellow yet fine tannic structure on the palate. Not the largest scaled Left Bank 2000... but certainly flavorful: fullish body and long finish. — 10 years ago

Half bottle. From excellent 2008 white Burgundy vintage. Lemon veering towards gold color. Nose slightly closed, but with air opens up with subtle aromas of pear, just ripe white peach, hay field, very light touch of oak derivation, light vanilla. Green and red apple. The palate has high acidity, balanced with an almost creamy texture happily bright with green and red apple but more pronounced lime and lemon peel Flavors. Complex. Full bodied and fresh with a lingering finish. Evolution in full bottle must be slower by comparison, but this was just delicious and gone quite quickly... — 10 years ago

The palate is full of lively verve. Lemon lime high acidity. What seemed at first to be notes of hazelnut actually blew off. In fact I mistook these notes. The wine seems to be rather reduced. Color is light gold/dark lemon. Went well with roast pork. — 10 years ago

Cheers to #Hungary. This is a gorgeous wine: orange rind marmalade, nutmeg, cinnamon, quince, quinine, aniseed. Supreme balance! Sour cherry almost and yet sweet, but that's not what you notice immediately. Long finish. Lovely! — 10 years ago

A mint freshness - even leafy - shines through (nearly 20% Cab Franc). Not a full on California style may I say? Ripe but contained and needs time in a carafe to open - full bodied and long finish this 2004! — 10 years ago

First tasted in a vertical at the chateau back in 2012. Clearly excellent vintage and I bought six bottles. Tasted in February 2015 and happily slow evolution, exhibiting light and clear lemon color. Clean lime, chamomile, floral aromas. Pronounced flavors include lime, stone fruit, a touch of smoky aspects. High acidity. Rather creamy texture. Lingering finish. 2010 is great for white Graves. Bravo to Latour-Martillac! #winelover #Bordeaux #Graves — 10 years ago

Bravo Tarlant! First from a case of 12. Equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier. Zero dosage, lime and grapefruit, precise yet rich with light notions of peach. Thirst quenching finish. Mainly from 2007 vintage with reserve wines aged in oak. Bottled in May 2008, disgorged in September 2013. Went well with seared tuna. — 10 years ago

While not quite as rich and impressive as the 2010, the 2008 is dry and citrus driven and - after about 6 years in bottle - showing off tertiary gunflint flavors. Medium plus body, high acidity, long vivacious finish: yet another great showing from this northern Alsace producer in grand cru terroir. — 10 years ago
