Earth, musty, BIG, juicy, heavy, inky, and great. Needs lots of air and some food. Definitely worth the purchase. French Malbec for the win! — 9 years ago

Waaaaaaay past it's prime. Musty, vegetal, and all around unpleasant. I hope the sink enjoyed it more than I did. — 8 years ago

Fruit on the nose, a little oak on the palate, medium to full body, really round out after being opened for about an hour. A wonderfully nuanced wine for the price, would totally buy again given the opportunity. — 8 years ago

Upon opening the wine provided much spice with a slightly harsh quality on the nose partnered with a mild fruit and prominent leather note on the palate and competed with a decent dry finish. After allowing the wine to breath in the glass and the remainder of the bottle to decant for a good 45-60 minutes, and harshness that may have been present at open was gone as the rich fruit notes really began to shine. Medium-full bodied, this wine paired well a 1 year aged Gouda that genuinely rounded out the fruit notes. All the while the wine retained its spice and leather as the fruit blossomed with time. Great wine for the value, I would definitely say this wine is worth the purchase. — 9 years ago

This is a big, bold, and juicy wine with a fair share of complexity. Deep and rich purple, this wine starts very fruit forward with tons of berry notes, and as it breaths a leathery spice begins to come though. The finish lingers as it ends with dried fruits and plums. A little sweet a very delicious, I would happily purchase again! Totally worth the price. — 8 years ago

Really a great blend of Zin, Syrah, and Grenache, this wine showcases the highlights of each grape. Visually it had a brilliant deep, dark and rich color. The nose carries some subtle fruit notes, but loads of leather and some spice. Quite dry and medium bodied, this wine had a healthy bit of acidity to it. While not falling off immediately, the wine didn't linger too long on the palate either. I drank it by itself, but it would definitely have done well paired with a rich meal of some sort. An excellent wine and worth the buy! — 9 years ago
