Starts off soft and light with blackberry and cherries, then finished with with firm tannins at the end of the finish. More extraction of the fruit or cold soak may have brought more balance to this wine. Good, but not their best. 2011 vintage. — 9 years ago
Not what I was expecting. Surprise an old world French style cuvée from Calistoga AVA. Decant, let it breathe for an hour and enjoy! — 9 years ago
Ok, first if your going to drink this now it needs to sit in a decanter for two hours. Dark brick red hue, opens with spices on the nose and saddle leather and tobacco. Tannins get you on the end too, so good! Long finish. Thankfully I bought more! — 9 years ago
Big bold and delicious. Dark red hue with pepper on the nose and American oak. Long and lush. Still has a bit of tannic grip on he finish and can go many more years. Reminds me a Jordan cabernet just bolder. Thanks Gary Westby for hooking me up with this many moons ago. — 9 years ago
Balanced blend of Cabernet, merlot, and Zinfandel. Drinking well now, but has good tannic structure on the finish to cellar for a few more years. — 9 years ago
One of my favorite Zinfandels. Delicious!
Chicken, Italian sausage and shrimp stew night. — 9 years ago
Very rich and loaded with sweet plum. I've had this before and don't recall it tasting like this. Overdone for my tastes. — 9 years ago
Somewhat dry, soft tannins, a little sweet but very enjoyable. — 9 years ago
Wow, rack of lamb with prosciutto. Oh my this is so good! — 9 years ago

Back in February last year I open a bottle and it was weak, unbalanced and disappointing. This evening I opened another and a year of cellar time has made a big difference. It's come together, elegant , still a bit sharp in acidity, but loads of strawberries and a nice finish. Went great with chicken pesto pizza. — 9 years ago
