Had it at Newport seafood restaurant in San Gabriel (BYOB - $20 corking fee).
Medium to light tannins. Earthy. Medium bodied with hints of dirt and gravel. Not too sweet. Medium finish. Easy to drink. Would buy again — a year ago
Had a 2019 in 2024. Drank a couple years too early.
Easy drink, medium to low fruit and sweetness, medium finish. I think I paid $35-40 at the wine store. Would buy again — 10 months ago
Bought this at Costco for around $30. Easy drink but too fruity which was surprising given it’s a Bordeaux. Very jammy, no complexion or depth.. tastes like straight up juice… would not purchase again — a year ago
Terrible. High alcohol content, too sweet and zero complexity. My father in law from Hong Kong said “this wine is suitable for cooking only” — 10 months ago
Picked up a 2012 at Wine House for $60 on 12/21/2024
One of the best wines I’ve tasted all year especially in the sub $100 price range
Smells like fertilizer and funk (in a good way) but tastes like blackberries and cherries with hints of soil — 10 months ago
Peter Chung
Paid $45 for this 2015 at the store. Has a sour taste initially which goes away after decanting for 30 minutes.
Mild fruit not too sweet (dark blackberries) and has spicy cinnamon / peppery kick at the finish 💥. Solid overall — 10 months ago
