1970 La Chapelle was just amazing last night. Wonderful fruit and body with fully integrated acids. Fifty years old and it overshadowed a table of terrific wines. — 4 years ago
Immediately on opening, this had a noticeably tart acidic finish and a lemony, buttery flavor. Soft mouthfeel and near weightlessness. After an hourlong decant it became a seamless, suave beauty: the citric edge had melded into a silky smooth treat sporting a butterscotch and lemon curd nose. It also put on a bit of weight. I wanted a longer finish, but all the same it made me wish for grilled lobster. — 4 years ago

Delicious magnum of 95 Jobard Genevrieres. A little thin on the finish but a really lovely array of typical Meursault flavors. Showing very well 25 years on — 4 years ago
Fading but still lovely magnum: citrus notes, silky texture, sweet nuttiness. Acidic grip fading but still holding it all together. — 4 years ago
Wonderfully spicy and rich. Incredible nose. A head turning Burgundy spice box. Suave texture. — 4 years ago
Beautiful magnum of 1990 Grand Annee! A real treat—super elegant, balanced, and flavorful. — 4 years ago
Nice clean fruit and a solid spine of acidity. Great accompaniment to poached fish. — 4 years ago
Nice tight core of dark cherry and cassis with orange rind. After a two-hour decant it started to soften and the bouquet unfurled a bit. Solid core of acid keeps it fresh. — 4 years ago

Bright New World butter and popcorn nose. Nice acidity gives it some lift and liveliness on the palate. Nuttiness on the finish. — 3 years ago
