Subtle and spicy. An available Syrah from a storied region. — 4 years ago

A Pinot Noir that holds your attention. This high altitude red is both aromatic and lush. Touch of vanilla, earth and candied cherries on the noise. Rich red fruits, candied cherries with a hint of pepper. — 5 years ago

This is a fun and playful wine. Ripe raisins, cedar and a hint of pepper on the noise with fruit-forward dark fruits (mostly plums) and tobacco. The soft-to-medium tannins and acidity makes this an enjoyable wine or all. — 5 years ago

Sweet leather with wet stone and dark fruits set the stage. Stewed fruits with leather and long tannins. Very nice but the price point is simply too high for the experience. — 5 years ago

The nose was interesting with plums and spices, but the high acidity overpowered any flavor from the Tempranillo. I paired this wine with a sweet pizza which balanced the meal. — 4 years ago

Unexpected and unique. This Argentinian rosé is such a shade of pale onion skin that it is practically translucent. Completely refreshing with cold stone fruits (apricots and sweet peaches) and just a playful hint of dulce de leche. You will need more than one bottle. — 5 years ago

A lovely surprise. At first glance one sees the pale garnet swirling in the glass and memories of Pinot Noir prep the sensations. But at first taste this assertive wine pulls out all the punches. - a Pinot this is not. Aromas of sweet red cherries and flint fill the noise, but it is the vibrant acidity and supple tannins that arrest you while giving way to red berries and hints of leather. Decanter before drinking. I found it more enjoyable the next day. — 5 years ago

I feel like I’m standing cliff side overlooking the Atlantic. I can almost feel the mist spritzing my face. Brine and minerals up front. Secondary aromas of stone fruits and sweet-smelling flowers (or is it melon?). Flavors of flint and lemon peel complimented with a beautiful, long acidity.

A nice surprise from Argentina. Trapiche attempts to maintain the necessary growing conditions to make this grape shine. Lemon peel and mineral notes with briny citrus flavors. — 5 years ago

An everyday table wine that provides something different from the usual. It has quite a nice nose (mineral, lemon rind and a touch of stone fruit) but it lacks on the palate, only providing a touch of acidity without much else. — 5 years ago
