Not for me. Like a flabby high al syrupy Cali cab it zin. No balance. — 2 months ago
For the price ($22 for a 375ml) and the age, a solid value. Has the basic traits of an aged BX. Some lead. Rustic. And decently balanced. But does lack a finish. Has sediment. Would buy again for a budget aged BX. — 5 months ago
Funky. Unique long finish. Not a typical natural wine. More robust tannic profile. Had some age. Good to try once. $140 at restaurant. — 8 months ago
So so. Overpriced at $34. Not well balanced. A bit too much strawberry and soft. — a month ago
Love this. Nicely balanced that has lots of similarities to a BX w some age. Lead, leather, spice, plums, earthy. Nose is a bit hot. Still, a great value for $26. Buy again. — 2 months ago
A great example of a wine that I’m glad was a gift. And why I don’t buy CA wines that often. I can’t imagine spending $100+ on this. But even at a lower price point, the wine would just be so so. Nothing memorable. Maybe it was past its prime. — 5 months ago
Very unique. Wasn’t sure at first. Almost too herbal and tannic initially. High Al traits too. But w some air, it definitely grew on me. the extreme herbal notes and al mellowed. The tannins didn’t. But the high acidity seemed to make it balanced. Esp w the braised beef pasta. Definitely try again because it’s so unique. It’s basically their basic wine on roids. But not as fruit forward. — 2 months ago
I really wanted to like it. But it seemed “flat”. Maybe past its prime. Didn’t have much structure. — 4 months ago
I like it. A bit wild and big. 15% al. But nice to have this type of wine once in a while. Herbal + plums and sour cherry. Definitely have w fatty food. Decent value for $20. — 6 months ago

For $28, this is why I like aged rioja. Such a great value. This one still seems young. But well balanced. More fruity and acidic than others I’ve had w this age. Buy again. — 17 days ago
