Drank last night. Tasted off. A little funky/vinegary. At first I thought it might have a rubbery scent/flavor, but just decided it probably turned. Wasn't very excited about it to begin with. Subtle, lighter than I expected in a Bordeaux. Nose of fig and black pepper. Chewy texture. Dark red fruit - cherry, currant, strawberry jam. Light, slightly over-acidic finish. Very dry. — 10 years ago

2013. Enjoyed with perfectly grilled Branzino and slightly soggy Brussels sprouts from Kefi. Light, dry (especially for Chardonnay). Slight minerality. Butter on the finish. I know this is a "classic" but I'm underwhelmed. Overall it's perfectly fine - refreshingly drinkable - but nothing special except the name. — 10 years ago

Had a glass last night at Bustan; bought a bottle tonight. Sweet red fruit, black pepper, then dry on the finish. Strong anise once it opens up. Gabe gets blackberry notes. — 10 years ago
