A little on the spicy side. I love this wine for cooking,..and a quick nip or three. The flavor blends nicely while cooking for a very pleasant surprise. Most people pick something bland to cook with and I believe it’s a mistake. Beef bourguignion with something your audience loves but can’t define!
This is also a fine drinking wine. The spice has an underlying fruitiness which counterbalances it. Unusual for this combo is a smooth finish and aftertaste. — 6 years ago
