Barolo from Castiglione Falleto. Maroon color with rim variation. Menthol and tobacco on the nose. Rough tanins and pepper on the body with alcohol on the finish. Easy drinking wine. — 9 years ago
The color of this wine shocked me when I first poured it: deep purple, but translucent. It's a red blend, and based on the region it's grown in, it probably has some combo of Pinot Noir and Syrah. Dark fruit, blackberry and jam on the nose. Overripe strawberry, blackberry and jam on the palette. Bold, long finish. Hard to pair with food, but works well with spice and tomato-based sauces. Either drink solo or with spicy food or red sauce pasta dishes. — 9 years ago
Pale brick colored wine. Sausage spices like fennel and black pepper. Volcano stones, ash and smoke on the palette. Really great Sicilian red! — 9 years ago

White gold colored Riesling. White flowers on the nose with a bit of green apple. Tart and sour fruit with acid on the palette. Great solo wine but also good with saucy chicken dishes that have some spice. — 9 years ago
