Actually the Cab Sauv, not the Merlot, but: strong vanilla, and a sweetness to the tannins as well. Not a sweet wine, but neither especially fruity nor especially dry. Opened a little with time, but not a lot. We prefer the Red Blend they have... — 8 years ago

Quite nice, especially once it opened up. Lots of cherry, not quite as tart as the Fuso we like so much, but really drinkable. Note to self: keep trying Barberas... — 7 years ago
Surprisingly buttery for a red, not a lot of fruit. Mellowed a little after being open for awhile, but. Nothing I'd turn my nose up at, but nothing I'd go out of my way to recommend. Aged in bourbon barrels is a good, easy sales pitch tho, if we needed something to please bros... — 8 years ago
