Great acidity, good with lots of foods. Lush, white summer orange blossoms, with green, not quite grassy character, grapefruit, lemon zest, and bee balm. Quite delicious. Price is more like $15, in Colorado anyway — 10 years ago
Sadly, Colby really loved this one, it's one of his favorites, but it has merit in an expression of the "American palate": flabby sweet and smooth. Surprisingly drinkable, but as yellow tail once had some merit, and cast it asunder to be the biggest mass producer of inexpensive wine, I don't drink it on principle alone.
Turkey always does a phenomenal job in producing wines with depth and character, one thing Colby could learn a little more about.
This wine has deep black fruit flavors, vanilla, and wet violet on the nose, gentle forest floor appears through the fruit to give it depth. Delicious on its own or with friends, and if paired with food must be gentle on the palate and as luscious as this wine. A truly fantastic bottle.
