@matt balanced & clearly well made but definitely more extracted & loud than I'm into in pinot. All that said - could be drop dead gorgeous in another 10 years.
Good call Julia - showed a bit heavy on the stems and austere, but may just require patience!
2009 was definitely a flashier vintage in the SCZ Mtns. The Rhys guys are big into whole cluster and all accounts say the '09s are earlier drinking wines. The '10 and '11's have more nuance and will be longer lived.
