This an unoaked Chardonnay with lots of fruit. River Road is sold only at Total Wine stores and is made by the Dutton family west is Santa Rosa, CA. The wine is aged in stainless steel and has no oak flavor. The nose is fresh and filled with fruit. Drink with a light white fish such as fresh cod or the mildest white cheese you can find. This is a very good wine at a reasonable price. Serve at 55 degrees and enjoy the trip to the Russian River flatlands. — 10 years ago

Make sure you look for Riva Ranch. The entry Chardonnay is a little less expensive but it is worth the extra few dollars for the Riva. This is an oaky Chardonnay with lots of fruit. A mild cheddar is a good pairing. — 10 years ago
