Very clear, mild yellow green tint in the glass. Fruit with floral undertones on the nose, green apples, pears and honeysuckle. Very balanced, sweet and acidic, more tree fruit on the pallet with a slate and gravel minerality.

Scarlet and mahogany in the glass, much darker than previous gamays I've encountered. A full bouquet of earthy strawberries, plum and violet on the nose. Fruit forward and a nice acidity, red cherries fade into a smooth black currant finish.

Originally paired this with chicken pad thai and it was amazing. A glass on its own is still very drinkable but food really makes this shine. — 6 years ago
