Smooth smooth smooth, but doesn't lack character. — 8 years ago
Still developing my taste preferences for honey wine/Meade and this one is a winner. Summer in a glass - the strawberry is intense at the nose and glides over the tongue, the finish is where I get the hint of the traditional flavor that comes with Meade. I would buy this again to enjoy on its own on a hot day or with light picnic fair. — 8 years ago
A decent blend. Lush fruity splash at the front that only increases mid palate, with a barely there acid on the finish that doesn't linger. — 8 years ago
My sister in law brought this over for dinner and it did not disappoint. A buttery and lightly acidic Chardonnay, with a long soft finish. A great one to sip on on a hot evening. — 8 years ago
I'm just starting to explore various meads (my husband is trying his hand at making mead) and this has got to be my favorite so far. I get a lot of tropical notes, most prevalent is pineapple. Sweet up front balanced by a dry finish. — 8 years ago
Visited the tasting room of this newer Virginia winery this weekend. They are doing great things and have a lovely property. I was blown away by this Chambourcin - it is, by far, the best one I've encountered in Virginia so far. Light, dry, and smooth with notes of cherry and spice (but not too much heat). I will be buying another bottle soon.... check them out! Bonus: Wegmans is now carrying them (the Woodbridge location). — 8 years ago
Picked this up since they used organically grown grapes. Very jammy upfront but quickly fades into a fairly earthy finish. A bit tannic but definitely tolerable. Might be a bit sweet after awhile on it's own, but I imagine pairing it with a rich meaty meal would be excellent. — 8 years ago
One of my new favorite Virginia wineries. This blend is bright and complex, but light. Berries and flash heat up front with a quick peppery finish. A great way to celebrate Friday - whether with a pizza, something off the grill or lighter fair! — 8 years ago

Crisp and fresh, perfect for the early heat of summer. Paired with a creamy cheese softens the bite on the finish. Easy does it... the bottle dries up quick.... — 8 years ago
