Black cherry and currant are all over this wine. Considering the blend of Cab, Merlot, Malbec, and Bonarda (!) grapes, it's not surprising that this is simultaneously a fruit-forward and infused with balanced structure. Just plain ol' tasty, easy drinking. — a year ago

Love the chocolate/raspberry notes on the nose. Slight leather adds an earthy note. More body than I was expecting for a Rioja, but that might be the lush, balanced tannins whirling around. Surprisingly big, wild fruit and a soft, extended finish make this a real pleaser. I'd give it a few more point fractions if it had just a touch more complexity, but that is not to say this isn't a great one. — a year ago
