We like this bottle. A pretty sound example of Malbec with a sound body through the finish. We will try it again to refine our appraisal. Good value for sure. — 2 years ago

For thirteen dollars this is a delicious mouthful. I buy 3 bottles in every case I buy. — a month ago
Wow, we opened a 2012 Russian River. Subtly fantastic — 2 years ago

Well, my merchant stoped selling E. Guigal Cote du Rhône claiming he was seeing too many corked returns. I’ve probably bought more bottles of Guigal than any other producer in the past 12 years. I came upon this bottle and believe I have found an acceptable alternative. It has a wonderful body and a richness that lingers through each sip. Give it a try. — 4 years ago
East to buy, easy to drink. What’s not to like. A little thin on the tongue but plenty of flavor on the finish. — 6 months ago
My go-to wine shop no longer carries Guigal. He claims he has too many “corked” returns so I haven’t had a bottle for 3+ years. It’s a wonderful dinner companion with sophistication that’s surprising at this price point. — 2 years ago
A perplexing one, this bottle. On the tongue it starts well but finishes weak. When later paired with a soft cheese it’s finish improved markedly — 2 years ago

I’m a Nero d’avola fan for sure. A wine distributor guy was on the aisle and noticed my close scrutiny of the offerings. He said he had visited this vineyard and noted they are close to getting an organic designation. This is our second bottle and it is both soft yet full bodied. Lots of dark fruit. Enjoy! — a month ago
