Much sweeter than I expected. That said, balanced and crisp enough. Enjoy with some Asian food. On its own you’ll get bored with it. — 7 years ago

Stealing a word from a previous review of the same vintage: fleshy. I didn’t love that about this one. I’m a fan of Verdejo but this one wasn’t as refreshing and acidic as others. — 6 years ago
All the comments I read about why this wine isn’t great is why I liked it. Pepper and funk but soft and silky as well. Carmenere remains the best. — 7 years ago

Nice expression of Tempranillo. If you aren’t into the deep oak of a crianza this one is for you. Great tanins. Have some red meat with this one. — 7 years ago

A big oil’ Napa Cab. My future father in law bought this bottle when Emma and I got engaged at Trefethen in 2017.
Perfectly balanced, which is necessary because the amount of new French oak leaves a serious impression. This was a great wine with Swedish meatballs and gravy. Definitely enjoy with a rich meal. — 6 years ago
