Nice Rhone French Rose, enjoyed pairing it with crackers, soft cheese and chutney, fruity, bright, crisp — 7 years ago
Great Salmon color, fresh melon and orange fruit nose, well balanced with a nice finish. Refreshing! — 7 years ago
My sister instinctively thought to wait on a 2007. To give it time. A bold move on a $5 buck chuck from TJ's. But tasting it in early 2017, it has remarkably held up, and surprisingly improved and matured well! It is nicely balanced, with a rich, complex nose for the price, and a pretty even start, middle and finish. The high alcohol allowed it to age nicely, lasting a remarkable 10 years. We tasted it against Ed's Red 2012 (meh, and bleh, flat) and a 2014 Conundrum (very similar flavor profile, but better balance than, shall we say, a Conundrum?) — 8 years ago
This is not a Bordeaux blend! It is 100% Merlot, in classic St Emilion, in 3.3 acres with only 580 cases in this 2009 beauty. Aged for 6 months in Taransaud and Darnajou barrels, unfiltered. 14.5% alcohol, strong acidity to age, but well balanced, great feel, and good finish. Still deep ruby color on the 2009. Deep dark fruit flavors with a spiciness not found in California Merlots. Great value, with faint hints of the highest pedigree 100% Bordeaux Merlot, Petrus, which is perhaps 50 times the cost in the good years. — 7 years ago
Great time to try this 2009! Nice nose of plum, dark fruit and spices, especially after decanting 1 hour. Well balanced, nice feel, slight tannins but smooth finish. Great now, has a couple of more years as well. — 7 years ago
Crisp, fruit and butter, well balanced, nice finish, acidity great with Italian food, had it with Veal Piccata and Chicken — 8 years ago
Luscious mouth feel from this gem from the Lalande de Pomerol slice of Bordeaux. Black currants, cedar cigar box, slight licorice and cocoa. With some air, mellows smoothly the acidity. Just right to start to enjoy it, but has legs for years to come. 2010 vintage is a fabulous year. — 7 years ago
Classic Pinot nose with spices and pepper, deeper color and bodied, good fruit tones without overbearing, well balanced through out, with a smooth finish. Very drinkable now. — 7 years ago
Great time to try this 2012 Sangiovese blend from Tuscany that is well regarded. Good structure and well balanced. Look out, you may drink the whole bottle yourself! — 7 years ago

Unique red sake that has a cheese noted nose, and pairs very well with the cheese pecan pie biscuit served at the new restaurant AVERY in San Francisco’s Japantown area. Great pairing by Sommelier Daniel Bromberg — 7 years ago
