Rating this on night three. Night two was probably my favorite. Fruit faded a bit tonight but still excellent overall. Dark red fruit, maybe cherry. Structured nicely and just a little bit of tannin. Very long finish. Probably 60 minutes in the glass before drinking. — 7 years ago
Wonderful after 2.5 hours in the glass to soften the tannins and let the nose shine. Can't place anything specific on the nose other than it made me want to drink it. The red fruits of the Grenache shined and the other components were well-balanced. Looking forward to night 2. 9.2 points is probably underselling this. — 9 years ago
Medium yellow in the glass. Nose a bit muted but hints of honey and butter are there. Wonderful on the palate and long luscious finish. I have come around on these Hansel Chards which is good news given the reasonable pricing. — 7 years ago
I am late here as we drank this early in January. It deserved a post though as the entire dinner party loved it with and without food. We gave it a long decant (3+ hours). It has s long life ahead of it (beyond 2020). Subtle nose and fruit and nicely integrated with sandy tannins. At $20, we went back and bought out the wine store's last case. — 9 years ago
Quite enjoyable despite its youth. 60 minute decant helped but this has years and years ahead of it. Giant meaty nose mixed with dark fruit. Drying tannins and a wonderful finish. — 9 years ago
Lovely after just a few minutes to warm up in the glass. Pale yellow in the glass, strong floral nose. Really nice structure overall and some minerality on the finish. I will wait at least a year before the next bottle. — 7 years ago
Great QPR at $18. Would like to try it again in a few years. Probably needed to give it more time in the bottle though. — 9 years ago
Yum. Light cherry and strawberry on the nose. Perfect balance and long long long finish. — 9 years ago
