Luscious Pinot with a pretty bouquet of raspberries and honey suckle. Mild and integrated tannins, with all the blackberry, honey crisp apple, and vanilla one would hope for in a CA Pinot. Additional cola, new leather, and dried tea bud leaves that were integrated and an added complexity. My wife spoiled me with this mature wine, was privileged to enjoy it! — 7 years ago
Fruit forward and nice bright acidity, low tannins and an enjoyable texture. Not too familiar with Italian varietals, but with some reading thought this grape would be a good step from France into Italy. — 7 years ago
Very tasty! Above all balanced and integrated wine that leads with its fruits and ends with a welcomed nuttiness and tannins. Great characteristics and will certainly buy again! — 7 years ago
Unlike anything I’ve had, let alone Chile. Fermented apple funk on the nose, with soft acidity, velvety body, and a long herbaceous finish. Alone it was fun, but with pesto it was really enjoyable and paired very well with the food. — 7 years ago
White pepper, vanilla, and purple fruits made this vintage enjoyable with a pesto pasta dinner and retirement into the living room. Lite-medium body and almost a nutty finish. Really enjoying these wines from Sanford. — 7 years ago
Really balanced and lite red. Almost creamy body with medium low acidity, and inviting cola and licorice notes pairing with the red and black fruits. Drinks well young and fresh! — 7 years ago
First Margaux. Interesting! Bright raspberries, tar, and leather on nose, but after breathing a few hours in bottle perfectly ripe cherries and plumbs and even more vanilla. Tart berries, vanilla, white pepper, and abundant slate/granite soil. Tanin structure was impressive and can only imagine it with age. Fun wine! — 7 years ago
Ripe and complex Syrah with well integrated oak and tannins. Olives, salami, and ripe red fruits on the nose. Enjoyed by itself with friends, wish we would’ve eaten with it. Will buy again to pair with food! — 7 years ago
Tart green apple and red fruits lead the way in this ripe celebratory wine. Was enjoyable at 55 degrees and my first experience with a nouveau. For all it’s ripeness, it was still balanced and enjoyable for its attributes. — 7 years ago
