A very reliable house in Limoux for nice sparklers. The Brut shows lots of Granny Smith apple, soft bubbles, and clean finish. Hard to beat for 6 euros! — 11 years ago
Cheese on the nose, green apple notes and pleasant caramelized sugar aftertaste. — 11 years ago
Blend of 50% Chardonnay, 40% Chenin Blanc and 10% Mauzac, pale lemon color, fine bubbles with a light creamy mousse and aromas of fresh stone fruit with floral and biscuit scents, spent 12 months on its lees. On the palate flavors of crisp apple, citrus and peachy flavors with nice mineral tones, dry with vivid acidity. Medium+ finish with good balance ending with fruit, slight mineral, biscuit and yeasty tang. Excellent value as a Champagne alternative! — 3 months ago
Purchased at Wine Styles. Interesting first sip with fruit finish. Pretty good! — 5 years ago
The effervescence of this wine greets you like a much needed sunny afternoon. Fresh strawberries tickle the tongue and a light, citrus rounds out the flavor palette. This delightfully approachable wine can be saved for a celebration or casually sipped with friends. — 7 years ago
Very good sparkling wine (same traditional champagne method) considering it's price. I bought it for 9€ in Paris. Quality is surprising. A very good œnologie recommended. Prefer to to any cheaper champagne brut (lesson thesugary aspect) that are around 15-20€ — 8 years ago
Sweet & light alternative to the sharp champagne bite. Very pleasant. — 10 years ago
Domaine de Fourn - Vins Robert - Methode Ancestrale Limoux- A gentle style of Methode Ancestrale where the residual sugar seems well integrated - a nice yellow pale color with bright acidity and mousse notes off stone fruits summer white flowers and honey - a great value for money made of 100% Mauzac — 11 years ago

A blend of Chardonnay, Chenin, Mauzac and Pinot Noir, a very limited cuvée resulting in a nice wine combining elegance and floral notes with delicate vinous notes and great body 😏 — 11 years ago

Unique and quite good. Fine, persistent mousse from extended frames aromas of green apple, pear skin, chamomile, and light brioche. There is a hint of oxidative nuttiness. On the palate, crisp and energetic, with cider-like nuance, gentle toast, and a savory, slightly herbal finish.
100% Mauzac aged on lees for 30 months. 6g/L dosage but tasted like brut nature. Blanquette de Limoux is widely regarded as the oldest recorded sparkling wine. — 2 months ago
