Rosa Himmel 2020

This is really a fun pét-nat. Apple/blueberry cider wine from Sweden! You can smell the blueberries a mile away, even though the juice is a beautiful deep red. It remains fresh and light, quite playful really. A little touch of effervescent makes it interesting and easy to drink. Good strong finish and a total crowd pleaser while remaining fun for the nerds. — a year ago

Les Vaumuriens Pommard Pinot Noir 2002

JKT
9.2

CVed 1/16/18. A mini vertical of '02-'03-'05 after yesterday's '05. Lightest ruby color of three. Earthy autumn leaves and red brutes on nose. Silky well balanced palate and neon body with good lively texture and complex delicious finish. Better drinking more than the '05. Supposed more feminine and better balance. Wow, opened 2/1/23 and it’s fine! Great with Evan’s Salted Crispy Pork. — 7 years ago

Les Proces Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2010

NSG is talked about as ‘big’ and masculine. But I find they are no longer big brutes. This was darker but had a lot of red fruit flavors coming through. Perhaps a bit young but we quite enjoyed it — 7 years ago

Garage Bar Barcelona. Somm said this is the grower champagne of cider. Crisp. Dry. Almost no sweetness. Tart. Great summer drink. — 2 years ago

Bonnes Mares Grand Cru Pinot Noir

It takes a long time for these tannic brutes to be tamed but this one has now come into its own. Full bodied red tart fruit slides right down in an unforgettable swallow. — 7 years ago
