Fantastic Chablis Grand Cru after a wonderful day in Stockholm! This was my first Chablis Grand Cru and I think my first Grand Cru Burgundy in general. Perfect amount of new oak for this style of Chablis IMO. Very subtle, pleasantly understated and well integrated. Starfruit, lemon curd, honeydew melon, a big hefty dose of briny salinity and crushed chalk that you'd expect from great Chablis, Parmigiano cheese rind, and just a bit of baking spices and heavy cream + the tiniest bit of crème brûlée from malo and new oak. Just enough breadth and richness without losing it's precise focus and great freshness. Moderate (+) acidity, nice moderate body. Really wonderful stuff and a killer way to settle back in on the boat after such an active day. — 8 years ago

Recognizable as sauv blanc, but so different from my frequent New Zealand sauv blancs. No grapefruit or grassiness. No cat pee. Just classic sauv blanc fragrance and minerality. — 9 years ago

2024 spring. Always one of my favorite Champagnes. The price is creeping up and up, but still worth it relative to its peers — 4 months ago
