This has a polished surface feel that is modern, even though it is also quite authentic and traditional in its aromatic profile. — 2 years ago

Best wine in a while. Highly recommended. — a year ago
So elegant and classy. I paired this with homemade pizza with chorizo and red onion.
It offers complex and completely resolved dried red fruit notes, still lively but rounded tannin and excellent balance in the acidity. In a really great place where it is difficult to parse the individual parts but the whole is immensely satisfying. — 2 years ago
Fantastic wine, had at L’angolo divino in Rome — 3 years ago
Another excellent vintage! Bright ruby color. Aromas and flavors of crushed stone, ripe black cherry/currants, blackberry, plums, exotic spices, red and purple flowers, forest floor and balsamic vinegar. Long and savory finish. So complex. Ripe and tight tannins and well balanced acidity. Consistently excellent. Revisited in October 2024. Aging beautifully. — 9 months ago
Man the Appasiemento is really showing in this wine. Yowza. Tar, roses, raisins. Smells almost like Lessona Sforzato. Really weird. Some nice older library books, old wood and sultana. What a crazy nose. I like it. Palate is much more classic than the nose suggests. Big, ripe but also classy and elegant with dark cherry fruit and wood shop shavings. Luscious and juicy but my only issue is it’s drying and the tannins outpace the fruit. Drink now versus aging it longer. — 3 years ago

See previous Note. Old plummie, red cherry notes. Barb said dusty and pine needles. A cooler vintage. I said red cherries and freshly tilled loam. As Galloni said “In 2010 Ama did not bottle their single vineyard selections. All the best fruit went here.” Tasting more the quality of a Brunello than a Chianti Classico.
