2009 vintage. These old Cantinots are incredible. Les Tours de Cantinot is an old vines selection, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon ( atypical for Blaye or the right bank in general). The wine was aged 24 months in wooden tronconic vats. Beautiful nose with cassis, blackberries, rosemary and dark chocolate. Concentrated, fresh and layered with a solid ripe tannic backbone. Impressive length too. Abv. 14%. — 2 years ago
