2019 vintage. 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot. Glad to see this quality, given the disappointing 2015. Blackberries, strawberries, cedar wood and tobacco. Juicy, bright fruit in a structure of ripe tannin. Medium-bodied, with elegance and complexity, and nice, mineral length. Very good value. Abv. 13,5%. — 11 days ago
2022 vintage. Couvent des Jacobins has been making great wines for decades, but the recent wines are even better. This second wine is absolutely gorgeous and could be a Cru Classé in its own right. Beautiful nose with red fruit (raspberry, strawberry), flowers and a subtle hint of cedar. Impeccable purity of concentrated fruit, with freshness and velvety tannins. Perfectly integrated oak.Uncommon depth for a second wine. Long finish. Impressive. Abv. 14,5%. — 12 days ago
2020 vintage. Absolutely delicious and incredible value. Abv. 14%. — 6 days ago
2015 vintage. 49% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot. From the Cazes stable (Lynch Bages). Surprisingly light on its feet, especially compared to the Haut- Condissas Médoc 2015 tasted alongside. Floral and elegant, more like a Margaux than a Saint- Estèphe. Ready to drink. Abv. 13,5 %. — 10 days ago
2015 vintage. Not particularly complex, but attractive and fully mature. Better the next day. — 11 days ago
2020 vintage. Excellent value for money. Abv. 13%. — 6 days ago
100% Merlot. From Château La Dauphine. Terrific value. — 8 days ago
2014 vintage. I am not a big fan of this estate, as I find the wines overextracted, leading to a drying finish. This 2014 is no exception, but if you like the more extracted style, you will rate this much higher. — 11 days ago
2019 vintage. Strange cork, the lower end ( in contact with the wine) only in bad shape, falling apart. Undrinkable, I hope this was just a bad bottle. — 13 days ago

2016 vintage. A blend of 77% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. A pretty Médoc, drinking well. — 2 hours ago
