2019 vintage. The young vines deliver a gorgeous introduction to the grand vin. — 5 days ago
2011 vintage. Another great effort in a lesser vintage. — 6 days ago
2019 vintage. I had very little experience with Durfort-Vivens before, but today's tasting was extraordinary. The grand vin 2019 is stunning, concentrated and elegant at the same time, with an incredible purity of fruit, and haute couture tannins, culminating in a very long finish. Well worth the money. — 5 days ago
1997 vintage. A nice surprise in a vintage that was not highly regarded. Today, the 1997 outshined the 2000 La Tour de Bessan. Wonderful tasting with Marie-Laure Lurton, who kindly opened older vintages of La Tour de Bessan and Villegeorge. Unfortunately the 1961 Villegeorge was corked but one could tell the structure of the wine,it should be great from a good bottle. — 6 days ago
2019 Le Hameau. 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Merlot. First vintage of this parcel selection in the commune of Cantenac, aged for 16 months in amphorae (2/3) and barriques. Le Hameau stands for finesse, whereas Le Plateau (in Soussans) delivers more power. — 5 days ago
2011 vintage. A bit more power compared to La Tour de Bessan 2011, and I believe Villegeorge will make older bones. — 6 days ago
2021 vintage. A good example of a charming 2021 Margaux, that can be enjoyed now or for at least 10 years. — 6 days ago

2000 vintage. This might have been an imperfect bottle, a little over the hill, and outperformed by the surprising 1997. In the same tasting Villegeorge 1995 and 1986 ( from a half bottle) provided a lot of pleasure for lovers of older Bordeaux. Sadly, the 1961 Villegeorge was corked.
Great tasting with Marie-Laure Lurton. — 5 days ago
