Smooth, great with pasta — 5 years ago
Dark ruby, big mocha, chocolate, and raspberry on the nose. Heavy on the pallet with great gripping tannins. I love this wine. — 8 years ago

A blend of 50% Semillon, 45% Sauvignon blanc and 5% Sauvignon Gris, aged in 50% new oak with lees stirring for 9 months Pale lemon with aromas of stone and tropical fruits with citrus and floral notes. On the palate flavors of apricot, apple and white peach with lemon rind and toasty nutty notes. Long finish ending crisp with fruit, oak and spicy notes. Should have good short term aging. — 4 years ago
This was a great big Italian wine, nice and dry. — 7 years ago
Un beau liquoreux de 2005 qui a maturé à merveille, des goûts de fruits confits, goûts d’agrumes. Un nez de réglisse noir discret et de fruits confits. De la cave à Thierry! — a year ago
This wine won’t improve anymore with age. It’s 50% Merlot and 50% Cab. The wine is typical with cassis and plum. I believe this wine from other vintages or with more youth would be pretty lackluster but this was a good effort. — 5 years ago
3.5. Just the way a good Bordeaux should taste. Complex but smooth, with a lovely lingering aftertaste. On sale from a pretty French woman selling her vintage at Calvert-Woolley. On sale for $21.99, regularly $24.99. — 6 years ago
The winemakers behind this blend know their job. How on Earth is Chantegrive still popular when you have Portets ? Subtle, fruity and palatable. Well worth a 11/10. — 10 years ago

Château de Chantegrive “Cuvée Caroline” 2022
Graves, Bordeaux – White Blend
From one of the most respected family-owned estates in Graves, founded in 1966 by the Lévêque family, this special cuvée is named after their daughter Caroline — a tribute to tradition and excellence.
Crafted from highly selected Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc, the wine is fermented and aged in French oak barrels, adding layers of depth, finesse, and creamy texture.
✨ Tasting profile:
• Aromas: Vibrant citrus zest, tropical fruit, and delicate floral notes
• Palate: Rich and structured, with bright acidity, gentle oak spice, and a mineral-driven finish that lingers beautifully
• Style: Elegant, complex, and perfectly balanced — a benchmark for white Graves
This is a serious food wine that pairs gracefully with shellfish, roast poultry, or creamy cheeses, and it can also be enjoyed on its own for a refined sipping experience. — 10 days ago
