Appellation Saint-Emilion Gran Cru Contrôlée 2006, 13%. Bottle tasted in September 2014. At first a was a bit worried because the cork was very wet and not in very good conditions, but I poured half a glass and I left the bottle to breathe for a couple of hours. The wine was then quite beautiful, with a oaky nose slightly smoky, ripe dark red fruits, plum marmalade and nuts too. Very smooth and pleasant in the mouth, was paired with aged french cheese. — 11 years ago

Fantastic acidity is what hits my tongue first, along with an explosive nose of orchard fruit and flowers. Rich without being too oaky, with just hints of toffee, green apple skin, and ripe peaches. Tasted at the winery in Saint-Perey. — 9 years ago
