What a beautifully aged Rosé. This French rosé is one of the best I had so far, and I'm not into rosés that much, though I'm trying...
Color shows age with dark salmon color and a brown orange hue.
Nose fruity, but not fresh fruits, rather soaked in water? Cherries, strawberries, blueberries, minerals, slate and fresh soil.
Medium plus in body, with high acidity, somewhat creamy and surprisingly, nice legs.
Fruity on the palate and dry with a tint of fruitiness to balance the acidity well.
Cherries, strawberries, blackberries, red grapefruits, raspberries, lemons, unsweet pineapple and butter.
Smooth on the mid palate and sour cherries on the medium plus length finish.
Great, balanced, complex and enjoyable.
Paired it with the beach, sharp cheddar cheese, baby swiss and grapes.
Went well with the salty air too. What more can one ask for?

FINALLY - a French wine that is incredible in the USA. You know they keep the good stuff there! How do I describe this? The nose has a fresh mint bouquet. The initial palate is blueberry and black licorice. There is a back seat to blackberry and raspberry. The mid palate has chocolate and hints of oak all over it. The finish is extremely dry and lingering with a tart finish! — 5 years ago
