Jammy! Great earthy flavor, big and bold — 4 years ago
This pale lemony-golden wine has a lovely bouquet of a well-balanced fruit medley, including soft notes of golden and Granny Smith apples and green pears; bold but refreshing notes of lemon and grapefruit, and some nice round stone fruit n tropicals like white peach and honey dew. On the palate the alcohol isn't too stiff as can easily be the case with white wines. The fruit salad is impressively balanced with soft notes of golden apples, cooked lemon slices, mirabelle plums, and cantaloupe. The finish is just a tad thin but the mouthfeel still has a nice viscous weight to it. Overall this is a very good white wine for such an affordable price, and should go easily with many foods like mild cheeses, light brothy sauces, and summery grilled foods. Organic and vegan for anyone interested in that. — 3 years ago

Vipava appears to be both the winery org name and valley where the grapes are grown. Assuming this is grown in two sub-regions; Vipavska Dolina (low?)and Vipavska Tal (high?). Estate bottled, hand picked.
Pale-medium yellow. Nose of lilac, Paperwhites, white peach nectar and other aromatic pit fruits. Good as an aperitif as it is bracingly dry. Lead into pasta with Marcel Hazan's tomato/onion/butter sauce. — 3 years ago
