Laura Casella really knows how to make Merlot in Uruguay. One of the best to find from the exceptional vintage 2011. Merlot is the second grape variety planted in the country for fine wine after Tannat. Price: $11 in Uruguay — 9 years ago
We quite liked this, 2021, bottling in 2024. Label does not say “Sangiovese” or “blend” just Vino Rosso but otherwise the same label, the front has an Angel with a torch. Unique scent noticeable, not unpleasant. — 9 months ago
