Tangerine peel, grapefruit, kiwi fruit and grass clippings rush forth as the 2023 Rosato Ali unfurls in the glass. Expressive, cheerful and open for business, the Ali is light on its feet but neatly framed. Just the right amount of spice-inflected bitterness wraps up the finish. $20.00 (Billy Norris, Vinous, June 2024) — 8 months ago
Laura Casella really knows how to make Merlot in Uruguay. One of the best to find from the exceptional vintage 2011. Merlot is the second grape variety planted in the country for fine wine after Tannat. Price: $11 in Uruguay — 9 years ago
For the price , an very good fruit forward table wine with a nice acidity. So not too fruity. Black berries rings out. Great value for the taste — 4 years ago

We quite liked this, 2021, bottling in 2024. Label does not say “Sangiovese” or “blend” just Vino Rosso but otherwise the same label, the front has an Angel with a torch. Unique scent noticeable, not unpleasant. — 7 months ago
