Really amazing sour beer. Green Apple acidity with a slight warming spice on the palate. — 6 years ago
Good. Hard to get this type of beer made well. This is not woodsy or muddled in grain. Good, rich, balanced. — 2 years ago
Damn good. Nice crisp citrus at the finish — 5 years ago
Another fantastic sour from Firestone Walker, the UnderCurrants is terrific. Nose is loaded with aromas of dried berries, black currants (shocking), and a subtle funk that really brings it all together. Great tartness on the palate, but with a delicacy that’s really impressive. Great stuff! — 6 years ago

Smelled buttery and caramel, did not get a lot of fruit, taste of rhubarb, spices, caramel, oaky. I enjoyed it a lot. Not a favorite of my class though! Heinens Pinot Noir class. — 6 years ago
A savory nose of roasted red pepper and marinated black olives makes this wine from the Santa Ynez Valley’s first estate winery stand out from the crowd. There are green elements that some may consider unwanted, but the round, peppery spiciness makes for an intriguing, distinctive palate. This would go well with a New York strip and could stand up to prime rib with horseradish.
