On the nose it reminds me almost of nebbiolo but a tiny bit more fruity. Blood orange, strawberry, a tiny bit of oak, this is very inviting. The palate is extremely well balanced, there is acid, yes, but there is width and fruit, there is a drying layer of tannins in midpalate (not unlike the ones you can find in noble piemont niebbiolo wines) along with a soft, expanding mouthfeel, and there is a long finish with that drying layer, those nice fruit notes that linger for a long while. At great little Greek pizza place with great wine by the glass in Thissio, Athens called Caravin. 48euro or 12euro for 150ml. Has a faint ?honey taste in the finish. A very classy xinomavro. — 9 months ago

Holy hell what a rad wine. Very savory and smoky on the nose, has some white burgundy characteristics and a touch of honeysuckle. In the mouth, high acid, smoke and olive juice. Long finish. Fascinating. Made from a typical Greek red wine grape as well. — 5 years ago
